Following the trial of one‑way traffic at KBR Park, Hyderabad police are evaluating additional one‑way routes to ease congestion.

Hyderabad traffic police have announced plans to assess further one‑way traffic corridors after the recent pilot at KBR Park. The initiative aims to streamline vehicle movement and reduce bottlenecks in busy city stretches. Officials said the KBR Park experiment, which converted several intersecting roads into a single‑direction flow during peak hours, showed measurable improvements in travel time and reduced queue lengths. Encouraged by these results, the police are now mapping additional routes across the city, focusing on areas with chronic congestion such as Ameerpet, Banjara Hills and Secunderabad. The department will conduct field trials over the next few weeks, gather data and seek feedback from commuters before finalising any permanent changes.
