The Supreme Court of India on Tuesday dismissed a petition filed by the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) seeking the removal of its administrator, Bhaskar A. Sawant, and the annulment of recent elections.
The petition, submitted by opposition members of the RCA, alleged irregularities in the election process and demanded that Sawant be removed from office.
In its ruling, the Court held that the petition did not present sufficient evidence to warrant a change in the association’s leadership and that the election procedures complied with the RCA’s constitution.
