NDTV reports that farmers in Punjab are now employing a method reminiscent of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s satellite‑evasion maneuver during the Pokhran tests. The report links the historic episode with current agricultural practices.
NDTV has highlighted a curious development in Punjab's agricultural sector: farmers are reportedly adopting a technique that mirrors Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's famed satellite‑evasion maneuver during the Pokhran nuclear tests. The original incident, which took place in the 1990s, involved Kalam overseeing measures to prevent satellite detection of the test site.
According to the report, Punjab cultivators have begun applying a similar approach, though details of the method remain sparse. Sources cited by NDTV did not elaborate on the technical aspects, only noting the symbolic reference to Kalam's strategic acumen.
The story underscores a growing trend of farmers drawing inspiration from historic national achievements, aiming to enhance their own operational resilience. No official statements from farmer groups or government agencies have been released as of now.
