The Mizoram vehicle owners’ body has entered into a trade agreement with Myanmar groups, aiming to boost cross‑border vehicle commerce.

The vehicle owners’ body of Mizoram has signed a trade pact with groups from Myanmar, according to a report by The Times of India. The agreement formalises cooperation between the two sides to facilitate vehicle‑related trade across the India‑Myanmar border. While details of the pact have not been disclosed, officials indicated that it could open new channels for dealers, transport operators and related service providers in the northeastern state. Implementation will likely be overseen by state and central authorities to ensure compliance with customs, licensing and safety regulations.
