The India Meteorological Department has issued a heavy‑rainfall warning for two states, advising residents to stay alert and take precautions.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an official alert warning of heavy rainfall across two Indian states. The advisory, released early today, highlights the likelihood of intense downpours over the next 48 hours.
Meteorologists anticipate that the sustained precipitation could lead to localized flooding, water‑logging on roads, and potential disruption to rail and air services. Residents in the affected regions are urged to monitor updates and avoid non‑essential travel.
Authorities in the states have been instructed to activate emergency response teams, clear drainage channels, and ensure that relief supplies are on standby. The public is advised to keep emergency kits ready, avoid low‑lying areas, and follow any directives from local officials.
IMD will continue to track the weather system and issue further bulletins as the situation evolves, urging citizens to stay informed through official channels.
