The India Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms across South, East, and Northeast India on November 8, while Delhi-NCR remains dry.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert predicting significant rainfall across South, East, and Northeast India on November 8. The forecast specifically highlights Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka as primary regions likely to experience heavy downpours.
In addition to rain, these southern states are expected to face thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds. The IMD has further noted that isolated instances of heavy rainfall are anticipated in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal during this period.
While the southern and eastern regions brace for wet weather, northern India presents a mixed outlook. Scattered rainfall is expected in parts of Uttarakhand, Jammu, and Kashmir in the coming days.
In contrast, the capital region will remain largely unaffected by this weather system. No significant weather activity is predicted for Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR), which is expected to stay dry throughout the day.
