Farah Khan Criticises Insecure Young Actors, Commends SRK and Salman Khan

At a recent industry event, director Farah Khan took a candid stand against what she described as a pervasive lack of self‑confidence among emerging actors in Bollywood. She argued that many newcomers rely too heavily on directors for guidance, which hampers their growth and artistic independence.

In her remarks, Khan highlighted the importance of self‑belief and urged filmmakers to foster an environment where young talent can experiment and develop their own voice. She noted that this lack of faith often leads to hesitation on set and a reluctance to take on challenging roles.

Contrasting this trend, Khan praised Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan for their unwavering confidence and professionalism. She cited their ability to command the screen and make decisive choices as exemplary models for aspiring actors.

Concluding her address, Khan called on the industry to invest more in mentorship and confidence‑building programs, believing that nurturing self‑assurance will ultimately elevate the quality of Indian cinema.
