The Delhi Education Department has mandated that schools up to Class 5 operate in a hybrid model, combining online and in‑person classes, as air quality deteriorates.
On Tuesday, the Delhi Education Department issued an order requiring schools up to Class 5 to adopt a hybrid teaching model. The directive, aimed at safeguarding students from the worsening air pollution, will see a mix of in‑person and online lessons. Schools are expected to alternate between physical and virtual attendance, with teachers monitoring attendance through the e‑learning portal. The move follows a series of alerts from the Delhi Pollution Control Board, which has recorded several days of unhealthy air quality indices.
