85% of Rajasthan Wolves Live Outside Sanctuaries, Near Villages

A new study reveals that most wolves in Rajasthan are not confined to wildlife sanctuaries. The research indicates that roughly 85% of the state’s wolf population lives outside protected zones, often in close proximity to villages. This pattern raises concerns about potential human‑wildlife conflicts and underscores the need for updated management strategies to balance conservation and community safety.
