The Uttar Pradesh government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) for state employees by 5% to a total of 63%. Arrears will be paid effective from July 1.

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a significant hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for its state employees. The DA has been increased by 5 percentage points, bringing the total allowance to 63 percent of the basic salary.

According to the notification, the revised DA rates will be effective from July 1. This adjustment is aimed at providing financial relief to government staff in line with prevailing economic conditions.

The state government has also confirmed that employees will receive the arrears corresponding to the period from July 1. The payment of these pending amounts is expected to be processed in the upcoming salary cycle.

This move is part of the periodic revisions made to ensure that the purchasing power of state employees is maintained amidst rising costs.
