Dhar district’s Amjhera police jurisdiction witnessed a violent incident on Tuesday when a family dispute over the removal of a grocery shop escalated into a homicide. The conflict involved an uncle and his teenage nephew, both residents of the same locality.

Madhya Pradesh police registered the case as murder and have set up a special investigation team to track down the suspect. Officers have canvassed the neighbourhood, collected forensic evidence and are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby shops. The incident underscores the potential for commercial disputes in rural markets to turn violent, prompting authorities to warn shop owners and residents to resolve conflicts through legal channels rather than personal retaliation.
