In Udaipur, goldsmith Ikbal Sakka has fashioned a 1‑millimeter gold lamp and a 1‑centimeter prayer plate that contains all the traditional items used in Diwali celebrations.
Ikbal Sakka, a renowned goldsmith from Udaipur, has once again showcased his extraordinary skill by creating a miniature 1‑millimeter gold lamp and a 1‑centimeter prayer plate that holds all the customary items used during Diwali.
The lamp, crafted from pure gold, is so tiny that it measures just one millimeter across, yet it is designed to hold a single candle, symbolising the festival’s emphasis on light and hope.
The prayer plate, only a centimetre in size, contains miniature replicas of the traditional Diwali items – lamps, sweets, incense sticks and a small offering bowl – all intricately fashioned in gold.
The pieces have attracted attention from collectors and devotees alike, with many praising Sakka’s meticulous craftsmanship and the symbolic fusion of tradition and modern artistry.
