SMC Seizes 94 Hookahs in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar Raids

The Gujarat State Municipal Corporation (SMC) carried out a coordinated raid on several hookah bars in the cities of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar on Thursday. Police teams entered the establishments, seized 94 hookahs, and confiscated other related items such as charcoal, filters and flavored tobacco. The operation targeted outlets that were reportedly operating without the required licenses and violating local health and safety regulations. Officials said the crackdown is part of a broader effort to curb illegal hookah businesses and protect public health.
