Shubman Gill has confirmed that Hardik Pandya will play domestic cricket before being recalled for the Indian national team.
Indian cricketer Shubman Gill has provided clarity regarding the return timeline of all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Gill confirmed that Pandya is set to make his comeback in domestic cricket before being considered for a recall into the national setup.
The statement addresses the anticipation surrounding Pandya's return to competitive action after a period of absence. By prioritizing domestic matches, the team management aims to ensure the player regains match fitness and form.
This approach is standard for players returning from injury or a break, allowing them to adjust to the pace of the game in a lower-pressure environment before facing international opposition. Gill's confirmation suggests a structured plan is in place for Pandya's reintegration into the Indian cricket ecosystem.
