Rain has halted play in the second ODI between India and New Zealand at Wellington's Henry Stadium, with overs likely to be reduced. The toss is scheduled shortly after the weather clears.
India entered the second ODI in Wellington after a dominant win in the opening match of the series. The game was interrupted by rain, and the match officials have indicated that the number of overs may be reduced. Play is expected to resume once the weather improves, with the toss to be conducted shortly thereafter. The outcome of the toss will determine which side bats first in the shortened fixture.
The match is being played at Henry Stadium, a venue that has hosted several international fixtures. Both teams are keen to maintain momentum, and the rain delay adds an extra layer of strategy to the game.
Officials are monitoring the conditions closely, and a decision on the revised overs will be announced once the pitch is assessed post‑rain.
