The West Bengal Meteorological Department has issued an alert warning of rain following Kali Puja and a sharp fall in temperatures across the state.
The West Bengal Meteorological Department released a weather alert indicating that the state will experience rainfall shortly after the Kali Puja festivities. The forecast suggests that showers will move across the region over the next few days, bringing relief from the recent heat.
Alongside the rain, officials expect a noticeable drop in daytime temperatures, marking a significant shift from the preceding warm spell. Residents are advised to prepare for cooler conditions, especially in the evenings.
Authorities have recommended that people stay updated with local weather bulletins and take standard precautions during the expected showers, such as avoiding water‑logged roads and securing outdoor items.
The alert comes as the state moves into the post‑festival period, and the cooler weather is expected to provide a welcome respite for both urban and rural communities.
