Daytime temperatures in Punjab remain high while nighttime temperatures have begun to drop, according to local reports from Jalandhar.
The latest weather observations from Jalandhar indicate that Punjab is experiencing a clear contrast between daytime heat and increasingly cool evenings. While daytime highs continue to hover around the upper 30s Celsius, night-time lows have started to dip into the low 20s, marking a noticeable shift from the previous weeks.
The Punjab Meteorological Department attributes the pattern to a high-pressure system over the region that sustains daytime warmth, combined with a gradual influx of cooler air from the north during the night. Forecasts suggest that this diurnal temperature swing will persist through the coming week, with daytime temperatures expected to stay above 35 °C and nighttime temperatures falling to 18‑22 °C.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated during the hot afternoons and to keep warm clothing handy for the cooler nights. Local authorities have reminded the public to monitor heat‑related health advisories and to use appropriate heating or ventilation measures as needed.
