Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that young people are increasingly choosing to build their future in Punjab rather than seeking opportunities abroad, prompting responses from AAP and BJP.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, in a recent press conference, stated that a growing number of young Punjabis are opting to establish their careers within the state instead of pursuing opportunities overseas.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) seized on Mann’s remarks, arguing that the availability of government jobs in Punjab is effectively curbing the outflow of talent.
In contrast, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) countered that stringent visa regulations abroad are the primary deterrent for migration, rather than domestic employment prospects.
The exchange highlights the ongoing debate over Punjab’s economic strategy and the role of state policies in retaining its youthful workforce.
