Police conducted two separate operations near the India-Nepal border, resulting in the seizure of ganja and heroin.
Police forces have successfully intercepted illicit drug consignments in two distinct operations conducted near the India-Nepal border. The coordinated efforts resulted in the seizure of ganja and heroin, highlighting ongoing challenges in border security.
The first operation focused on the interception of ganja, a major narcotic substance often trafficked across the porous border regions. Authorities managed to secure the contraband before it could enter the domestic market.
In a separate incident, officers seized a quantity of heroin during another targeted operation in the vicinity. These dual seizures underscore the persistent threat of drug trafficking in the border areas.
Law enforcement agencies have reiterated their commitment to intensifying surveillance and patrols to curb the flow of narcotics. The seized materials have been sent for further analysis and legal proceedings will be initiated against the suspects involved.
