Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that Maoists have been eradicated from forest areas, but warned of 'intellectual Naxals' operating within society.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking in Bastar on the occasion of Diwali, announced that Maoist forces have been effectively eliminated from forest regions. He drew a distinction between these forest-based Naxals and a different kind of threat he termed 'dimagi Naxals' or 'intellectual Naxals'.
The Prime Minister indicated that these 'intellectual Naxals' are present within society and are allegedly involved in creating chaos. His remarks were made in the context of recent agitations, suggesting a connection between these movements and the elements he described.
