An audit of Civil Hospital Patna has uncovered a financial deficit of nearly one crore rupees, leading to the disappearance of an outsourced clerk accused of the misappropriation.

A significant financial irregularity has been exposed at the Civil Hospital in Patna, Punjab. An official audit revealed that the government treasury has suffered a loss of approximately one crore rupees due to mismanagement of funds and bills.

The responsibility for this deficit has been attributed to Gurinderpal Singh, an outsourced clerk stationed at the hospital. Reports indicate that Singh, a resident of Garden Colony in Patna, is alleged to have embezzled the funds under the pretext of salary disbursements and bill processing.

Following the revelation of the audit findings and the subsequent allegations of fraud, the accused clerk has gone missing. Authorities are currently investigating the matter to trace the individual and recover the misappropriated amount.

The incident has raised serious concerns regarding the oversight of outsourced staff in public healthcare institutions in the region.
