The Panchmukhi Shiv Temple in Mohali plans to construct a pond for Chhath Puja, with the Tulsi Vivah scheduled on 21st.
The Panchmukhi Shiv Temple in Mohali is set to construct a pond to facilitate the upcoming Chhath Puja celebrations. The new water body will serve as a dedicated site for devotees to perform rituals during the festival.
Chhath Puja, a major Hindu observance, involves worshipping the Sun God and requires a clean water source for ablutions. By building a pond within the temple premises, the management aims to provide a convenient and hygienic venue for the community.
In addition to the pond, the temple will host a Tulsi Vivah ceremony on 21st of the month. The Tulsi Vivah, a symbolic marriage of the sacred basil plant, is traditionally conducted to honor the deity and seek blessings.
Local devotees have expressed enthusiasm about the new facilities, anticipating a more organized and accessible Chhath Puja experience. The temple authorities expect the enhancements to attract larger crowds and strengthen community participation.
