To combat rising air pollution during Delhi's winters, vehicles registered outside Delhi with emission standards lower than BS-VI will be banned from entering the city from November 1st, 2026, to January 31st, 2027.

The Delhi government has announced a ban on vehicles with emission standards lower than BS-VI from entering the city starting November 1st, 2026. This measure is aimed at curbing air pollution during Delhi's winter months, when smog levels often reach hazardous levels. The ban will remain in effect until January 31st, 2027. Vehicles registered outside Delhi that do not meet the BS-VI emission standard will be prohibited from entering the city during this period.
