Punjab Police in Moga distributed roses to vehicle drivers in the main market as part of a 'Green Diwali' initiative, promoting road safety and environmental awareness instead of issuing challans.
A unique and praiseworthy scene was witnessed today in the main market of Moga, Punjab, where the local police adopted a positive approach to traffic management. Instead of issuing penalties for minor violations, officers distributed roses to vehicle drivers.
This initiative was part of a 'Green Diwali' message aimed at promoting road safety and environmental consciousness. The gesture was intended to encourage drivers to adhere to traffic rules voluntarily while fostering a festive and eco-friendly spirit.
The move has been noted as a commendable effort by the Punjab Police to engage the public through positive reinforcement rather than punitive measures. The presence of officers in the busy market area highlighted their commitment to maintaining order and awareness during the festive season.
