Manipur Radio Station Bridges Ethnic Divides

Radio Highway, a unique initiative in Manipur, is working to bridge ethnic divides through the power of radio. Operated by a team of Kuki, Meitei, and Naga individuals, the station broadcasts a diverse range of programs, including local news, cultural content, and music. The aim is to connect communities and foster understanding between different groups within the state. The station's founders believe that radio can be a powerful tool for promoting peace and reconciliation, particularly in a region where ethnic tensions have often flared.
