In Ludhiana, dairy operators have agreed to participate in the Budha Dariya cleanup initiative by removing cow dung and cutting water usage.
The Budha Dariya cleanup project, aimed at restoring the river’s health, has gained a key partner in Ludhiana’s dairy sector.
Dairy operators in the city have signed an agreement to remove accumulated cow dung from the riverbanks and to reduce their water consumption as part of the initiative.
The move is expected to lower the organic load in the water, improve sanitation, and support the local ecosystem.
Officials say the cleanup will begin next month, with regular monitoring to track progress and ensure compliance.
