Karwa Chauth celebrations in Mohali are facing the impact of rising inflation, with the budget for festive preparations and 'sargi' doubling.
The festive spirit of Karwa Chauth in Mohali is being tempered by the rising cost of living. Many women are finding that their budget for traditional attire, jewelry, and the special 'sargi' gift for their husbands has doubled compared to previous years. This reflects the wider impact of inflation across India, which is putting pressure on household budgets during the festive season.
