Police in Jodhpur have filed an FIR against eight people after a mentally ill senior’s 22‑bigha property, worth about ₹20 crore, was allegedly seized using forged documents.

In Jodhpur, police filed an FIR against eight individuals after allegations that a mentally unstable senior citizen’s ancestral land of 22 bighas, valued at approximately ₹20 crore, was seized through forged documents.

The complaint states that the documents, purportedly a "Mukhtarnama", were fabricated to transfer ownership from the elderly owner to other parties. The accused include a patwari, a bank manager, and six other persons whose roles remain under investigation.

Authorities have seized the disputed property and are probing the authenticity of the documents. The case highlights concerns over exploitation of vulnerable citizens in land transactions.

The police have urged the public to report any similar incidents and assured that the investigation will be conducted swiftly.
