Former J&K Congress chief Vikar Rasool Wani stated on Friday that the party supports the National Conference government solely to prevent the BJP from coming to power.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Congress chief Vikar Rasool Wani has clarified the political stance of his party regarding the current state government. Speaking on Friday, Wani asserted that the Congress party's support for the National Conference (NC) government is strategic rather than ideological.
According to Wani, the primary objective behind this alliance is to prevent the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from assuming power in the state. He emphasized that the move is a calculated political decision to block the BJP's entry into the state administration.
The statement adds a new dimension to the political dynamics in Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the Congress party's focus on opposing the BJP's influence in the region. Wani's remarks underscore the complex coalition politics at play in the state, where opposition to the BJP has become a unizing front for certain political factions.
