Four smugglers were arrested in Jalandhar after authorities seized 202 grams of heroin and 3,600 narcotic capsules.
Earlier this week, Jalandhar police conducted a coordinated raid that led to the arrest of four individuals suspected of drug smuggling. The operation uncovered 202 grams of heroin and 3,600 narcotic capsules, which were seized from the suspects’ possession.
The seized heroin, a highly potent form of the drug, was found in sealed containers, while the capsules were identified as containing various controlled substances. The quantity of narcotics seized is considered significant for the region.
Jalandhar police officials confirmed that the arrests were part of an ongoing effort to curb drug trafficking in Punjab. The authorities are investigating the source of the drugs and the network involved.
The case is expected to proceed through the judicial process, with the suspects facing charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The operation underscores the local law‑enforcement agency’s commitment to tackling drug-related crimes.
