The International Institute of Hotel Management has signed an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government to develop specialised hospitality training programmes and showcase the region’s culinary traditions.
The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) and the Andhra Pradesh government have formalised a partnership aimed at strengthening hospitality education in the state. Under the agreement, IIHM will design and deliver skill‑development modules that align with industry standards, targeting students and working professionals alike.
The collaboration also seeks to highlight Andhra Pradesh’s rich culinary heritage. Joint initiatives will include workshops, food festivals and curriculum components that focus on regional dishes, ingredients and cooking techniques.
Officials anticipate that the programme will create new employment opportunities, improve the quality of service in hotels and restaurants, and position the state as a culinary tourism destination.
Implementation will roll out in phases, beginning with pilot training centres in major cities, followed by broader rollout across the state’s hospitality institutions.
