In the second ODI against New Zealand, Indian fast bowler Gurunath Bhad claimed four wickets for 30 runs, playing a key role in India’s victory.
India secured a decisive win over New Zealand in the second ODI of the series, largely thanks to the remarkable spell of fast bowler Gurunath Bhad. He finished with figures of 4‑30 from his full quota of 10 overs, dismantling the New Zealand batting lineup with a mix of pace and swing.
Bhad’s performance was highlighted by a series of sharp deliveries that induced edges and caught the batters off‑guard. His fourth wicket, a quick dismissal of a top‑order player, proved to be the turning point of the match.
After the game, Bhad praised teammates Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for their support on the field and revealed that he had been learning key techniques from seasoned bowler Jasprit Rohit, whom he admires for his disciplined line and length.
The win puts India in a strong position in the series, and Bhad’s figures have already sparked discussions about his potential role in upcoming international fixtures.
