Government employees across India are in for a festive treat as the administration prepares to disburse a special festival bonus ahead of Diwali. The move is aimed at boosting the morale of public servants and supporting their festive spending needs.
According to recent reports, the bonus amount has been fixed at Rs 20,000 per employee. This financial assistance is intended to help staff members purchase gifts, sweets, and other essentials for the traditional celebrations.
The decision reflects the government's commitment to recognizing the service of its workforce during major cultural festivals. While specific disbursement dates may vary by department, the announcement has been welcomed by employee unions and associations.
This festive allowance is part of the broader benefits package provided to central government employees, ensuring they can celebrate the festival of lights with their families in a comfortable manner.
