A large fire broke out in the Thinder area of Mohali, destroying 24 shops. Twelve vehicles were used by residents to control the blaze before it spread further.
A significant fire erupted in the Thinder locality of Mohali, Punjab, on Thursday evening. The blaze quickly engulfed 24 commercial shops, leaving them charred and reduced to ashes. Local residents and nearby shopkeepers reportedly used their own vehicles to fight the fire, deploying 12 cars in an attempt to contain the flames.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, but the rapid spread of the fire made containment difficult. Firefighters arrived after the initial wave of the blaze had already caused extensive damage to the shop fronts and interiors.
The incident has raised concerns about fire safety measures in the area, as several shop owners expressed frustration over the lack of adequate fire prevention infrastructure. Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the cause of the fire or any potential casualties.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity that could lead to similar incidents in the future.
