Heavy rainfall and persistent dark clouds in Delhi-NCR on October 29 may delay the moonrise, affecting Dussehra celebrations.
The weather conditions in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) have taken a turn for the worse, with heavy rainfall reported in several areas on the morning of October 29. The Meteorology Department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi, indicating the potential for continued adverse weather conditions throughout the day.
Despite the start of the day, dark clouds continue to loom over the sky, casting a shadow on the region. This persistent overcast condition has raised concerns among residents, particularly those planning to observe the moonrise, a significant ritual during the Dussehra festival.
If the current weather pattern persists, the moon is expected to appear later than usual in the evening. This delay could impact traditional celebrations and rituals that depend on the timely sighting of the moon. Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and take necessary precautions against heavy rain and potential waterlogging.
