Chhattisgarh edged ahead in the first innings of the Ranji Trophy clash, while Hyderabad lost two wickets just before stumps.
Hyderabad hosted Chhattisgarh in a Ranji Trophy fixture on Thursday, with the latter gaining a first‑innings advantage after a steady batting display. The Chhattisgarh side posted a modest total that put pressure on the home side early in their reply.
As the day progressed, Hyderabad’s innings stalled, and two wickets fell in quick succession just before the evening stumps. The twin dismissals halted any momentum the hosts were trying to build and left them trailing on the scoreboard.
The match now heads into the final session with Chhattisgarh holding the lead, and both teams will look to consolidate their positions before the weekend’s play resumes.
