A bulldozer demolished the residence of a jailed drug smuggler in Jalandhar, Punjab, with the Police Commissioner arriving on the scene to oversee the operation.
On Tuesday, a bulldozer was deployed to raze the house of a drug smuggler who is currently serving a prison sentence in Jalandhar, Punjab. The structure, located in a residential area of the city, was demolished in a controlled operation carried out by the local police department.
The demolition was ordered by authorities as part of a broader crackdown on drug trafficking networks operating in the region. Officials confirmed that the property had been used as a base for smuggling operations and was therefore targeted for removal.
Jalandhar Police Commissioner, Mr. R. Singh, arrived at the site shortly after the demolition began. He inspected the site and confirmed that the operation was conducted safely and in accordance with legal protocols.
The police spokesperson stated that the demolition would prevent the property from being used for illicit activities in the future and would serve as a deterrent to others involved in drug trafficking.
