The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation announced a hike in its minimum fare by as much as Rs 10, while the dedicated airport bus now costs Rs 425 per ticket.

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has issued a new fare structure that lifts the minimum fare by up to ten rupees. The revision applies to all regular city routes operated by the state‑run agency.

Under the updated schedule, passengers will now pay a minimum of Rs 10 more than the previous baseline for short trips. The increase is part of BMTC’s periodic review of operating costs and revenue requirements.

In a separate announcement, BMTC confirmed that the fare for its dedicated airport shuttle service has been set at Rs 425 per ticket. The price applies to the single‑journey service that connects the city centre with Kempegowda International Airport.

The changes are expected to affect daily commuters and travelers alike, prompting many to reassess their transport budgets as they plan routine trips or airport transfers.
