In a significant political development, the BJP and SP have won all 10 vacant Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh without facing any opposition.
Uttar Pradesh's Rajya Sabha elections have concluded with all ten vacant seats being won unopposed. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured eight of these positions, while the Samajwadi Party (SP) claimed the remaining two seats.
The absence of opposition candidates marked a distinct feature of this electoral cycle, resulting in a straightforward victory for the nominated members. This outcome reflects the current political dynamics within the state assembly, where the ruling coalition holds a decisive majority.
With these wins, the representation of Uttar Pradesh in the Upper House of Parliament has been updated. The newly elected members are set to take their oaths and join the Rajya Sabha, continuing their legislative duties at the national level.
