Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari has raised concerns over 179 Pakistani nationals who entered the state on tourist visas, noting a lack of official records of their departure back to Pakistan.

Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari has brought to light a discrepancy involving 179 Pakistani nationals who reportedly entered the state on tourist visas. The group arrived in Gopalganj, a district in northern Bihar, but official records do not show any subsequent departure back to Pakistan.

Tiwari cited the absence of exit documentation as a concern, suggesting that the citizens may have overstayed or used the visas for purposes other than tourism. He asked state authorities to investigate the matter and provide clarity on the citizens’ current status.

The government has yet to release a formal statement confirming or refuting the minister’s claims. As of now, no records in the immigration database indicate that the 179 individuals have left India.

The incident has drawn attention to the need for stricter monitoring of visa holders and the importance of maintaining accurate travel records for national security and diplomatic relations.
