For the second consecutive day, around 13,000 Bhopal municipal employees are on strike, halting garbage collection and affecting drinking water supply in several areas.
The strike, which has been ongoing for two days, has halted municipal services across Bhopal.
Garbage collection has stopped, leaving piles of waste on city streets and causing sanitation concerns.
The disruption has also affected drinking water supply. Many households report that taps are not functioning and tanker water deliveries have ceased.
Municipal authorities have appealed to the workers to return to duty in order to restore essential services.
