The Bhopal Lokayukta has lodged a complaint against former TNCPI joint director Sunita Singh, alleging that her assets exceed her declared income by 250%.

The Lokayukta of Bhopal has officially filed a case against Sunita Singh, who served as a joint director at the Tribal and Non-Civilian Personnel Institute (TNCPI). The complaint, filed on Thursday, accuses Singh of holding assets that are 250 percent greater than her reported income.

According to the Lokayukta’s statement, the alleged discrepancy involves property holdings, investments, and other financial assets that were not disclosed in Singh’s official financial statements. The complaint seeks a thorough investigation into the source of these assets and whether any illegal enrichment has occurred.

Sunita Singh had held the joint director position at TNCPI for several years, overseeing administrative and developmental functions for tribal communities. No prior criminal record has been reported for Singh, and she has not yet responded to the allegations.

The Lokayukta has ordered a preliminary inquiry and has requested that Singh submit a detailed asset declaration within 15 days. If the investigation confirms the allegations, further legal action may be pursued under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
