Bhind Woman Falls 16‑Foot Deep After Floor Collapse, Rescued by Neighbors

A 45‑year‑old woman was in her bedroom in Bhind when the floor suddenly gave way, sending her and her bed into a 16‑foot deep pit. The collapse occurred during routine bedding changes. Neighbors and family members rushed to the scene and used a ladder to pull the woman to safety. An investigation has revealed that the house was built over a pre‑independence grain storage pit, which may have weakened the floor structure.
