Students from MBC Girls College in Bhadarmer staged a protest against the increased exam fees announced by JNVU, shutting the college gate and chanting slogans under an ABVP banner.
On a recent day, students of MBC Girls College in Bhadarmer gathered outside the campus to protest the hike in examination fees imposed by Jay Narayan Vyas University (JNVU). The demonstrators closed the college gate and raised their voices under the banner of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).
The fee increase, which applies to several JNVU-affiliated courses, has been met with strong opposition from the student body, who argue that the additional cost places an undue burden on their families.
The protest was organized by student leaders who coordinated the gathering and ensured that the demonstration remained peaceful. Slogans calling for a reconsideration of the fee policy were chanted loudly by the participants.
Local authorities responded by requesting the students to disperse peacefully, and no incidents of violence were reported. The college administration has yet to issue a formal statement regarding the protest.
