Police in Bengaluru arrested S Indushekhar, a 52‑year‑old cab driver, on Tuesday after a series of murders that left his wife and six relatives dead. The victims were reportedly invited to his home for meals before the killings. Authorities say Indushekhar used a grindstone to carry out the attacks during late October. A minor boy, who was the suspect’s eighth intended target, was discovered in his vehicle and taken into custody.

The case has drawn attention to a long‑standing property dispute and a 20‑year marital conflict that may have fueled the violence. Investigators are examining the suspect’s motives and any possible accomplices.

Indushekhar was taken into police custody and is awaiting trial. The Bengaluru police have pledged a thorough investigation and have urged the public to cooperate with any information that could aid the case.
