Around 4,000 AYUSH doctors and paramedical staff in Bhopal, dismissed after the COVID era, plan to light lamps and celebrate Diwali at their protest site until the government decides on their reinstatement.
In Bhopal, a group of about 4,000 AYUSH doctors and paramedical workers who were dismissed during the COVID‑era health services are holding a month‑long protest demanding reinstatement.
The workers have set up a sit‑in at a public square and have been demanding that the state government reverse the layoffs and offer them their former positions.
With no decision yet, the protestors have announced that they will light lamps and observe Diwali at the protest site, refusing to end the movement until their demands are met.
The government has yet to respond to the protestors’ ultimatum, and the workers remain steadfast in their demand for job restoration.
