Ajmer Jail Inmates Light Up Diwali with Creative Decorations

In Ajmer’s high‑security jail, inmates celebrated Diwali by turning the cell blocks into a festive space despite scarce supplies. Using only paper, paint and basic tools, prisoners drew a detailed sketch of Goddess Lakshmi on a wall. Others fashioned large paper candles and bright colored lamps that hung from the ceilings. The decorations, though simple, lifted spirits and brought a sense of normalcy to the inmates. Authorities noted the event as a positive morale‑boosting initiative within the facility.
