A 3.6‑scale earthquake struck parts of the Kashmir region early today, with no significant damage or casualties reported so far.

A 3.6‑magnitude earthquake was felt across several districts of the Kashmir region on Tuesday morning, according to seismic monitoring agencies. The tremor, which began at 02:15 IST, had an epicenter near the town of Anantnag and was recorded at a depth of approximately 10 kilometres. Local authorities reported that there were no reports of structural damage or injuries, and the region's emergency services were on standby. Seismologists noted that the quake is part of the ongoing tectonic activity along the Himalayan fault system, which has produced several moderate earthquakes in the area over the past year.
