Police in Sagar intercepted a truck carrying 275 bags of wheat intended for black‑market distribution, and the flour mill where the goods were stored has been sealed.
Police officers in the city of Sagar stopped a delivery truck that was carrying 275 bags of wheat, allegedly intended for black‑market sale to the poor. The vehicle was seized at the premises of a local flour mill, where the wheat had been stored.
The seized wheat was reportedly meant to be sold illegally to meet the demand for ration items in the region. Authorities say the truck had no proper documentation and was part of a larger black‑marketing network.
Following the interception, the mill was sealed and all its inventory was inspected by the food safety department. The mill’s owner was taken into custody and is awaiting further investigation.
A spokesperson from the state food security office stated that the action was part of a broader crackdown on illegal distribution of ration goods across Madhya Pradesh.
